ProTrainer Will passes The Univeresity of Arizona College of Medicine's course in Nutrition & Cancer

November 23, 2018

On December 14th, 2017 I was diagnosed with #Stage4 #ProstateCancer. My PSA was 5846.0, my Gleason Score was 8, and I had a T4 Tumor on my Prostate, so massive that it could not be surgically removed! Upon receiving my life-threatening diagnosis from my Urology Oncologist I was devastated! After I pick myself up off the floor recomposed myself and wiped the tears from my eyes. I knew what I had to do!

First, I followed all my doctor's instructions to the letter! I went to the pharmacy and pick up my prescription which I take every day! Then I went to the emergency room to get scans to see how far cancer had spread throughout my body! I had to go to two different hospitals and be admitted and spend the night in the second one. Usually, a PSA over >99.0 is Metastatic and has spread to the bones and other organs. And my PSA level was 5846.0! To my Doctors disbelief, my cancer was all packed in the one massive tumor on my Prostate!

The second thing, I knew I had to do was, Immediately switch to an organic plant-based diet! The diet I later found out was very similar to the Dr. Dean Ornish MD protocol for Prostate Cancer. Being a young African-American male, having such an advanced and aggressive prostate cancer did not give me a much chance for survival. So I knew I had to do everything within my own power to take control of this disease, by taking control of everything I put into my body!

What I did have on my side was that I live a very health-oriented and active lifestyle. Having been Certified by the US Olympic Committee as a USA Boxing Certified Coach, a USA Track & Field Certified Coach, a USA Weightlifting Certified Sports Performance Coach, a Medical Exercise Specialist by American Academy of Health Fitness and Rehabilitation Professionals and Certified in Sports Nutrition by the International Sports Medicine Association. I was fortunate to be more active and have healthier eating, and lifestyle habits than the average person

Having worked in Health, Sports and Fitness for over 30 years made changes to my diet easier, but still challenging every day.

I’m happy to say with ADT along with my Plant-Based Diet and Fitness Lifestyle along with Meditation and Visualization, I was able to avoid chemotherapy in 9 days, by reducing my PSA level from 5846.0, on December 12th, 2017 down to 3620.4, on Dec 21st, 2017!

By May 2nd, 2018 my PSA was less than <0.1 and somehow I achieved Remission! (to the amazement of my doctors.) By the end of July 2018 my T4 tumor that was on my Prostate and once too massive to surgically remove, was gone! And was not detectable on my last Axium PET Scan.

My doctors don’t understand how this is possible!

So I decided I needed to learn more about how and why I was able to do what just happened. So I took this “Nutrition & Cancer” course with The University of Arizona College of Medicine. I now better understand some of the scientific nutritional mechanisms that helped me accomplish my exceptional results.

With this knowledge and a better understanding of how I accomplished my exceptional results; I hope I can now better explain to others what I did. And hopefully, help motivate them to achieve better outcomes with their cancer treatments, and to #StayFocusedAndBeVictorious in their never-ending battle against cancer!

Never Give Up!
